Western Slope weddings are generally more laid back and tend more toward wilderness settings. Not to say that I have not officiated some large formal weddings in Telluride, Aspen and Vail. And I have officiated weddings in those same places that were small and informal.

It does not matter much whether you choose formal/informal, large/small, indoor/outdoor, what matters is what feels right for you, the couple getting married.

Some choose to do what pleases their families. Again if pleasing your family is of upmost importance, then do what feels right to you. I have joined families of varied religious backgrounds with great success.

Western slope weddings are also a lot of fun for outdoor people because we have so many non-crowded options for outdoor experiences, no matter the time of year!

If you have family and friends flying in, we have great non-crowded airports as well. Check prices at Telluride, Montrose, Grand Junction, Aspen.

I am always surprised when couples from the Front Range import musicians, DJs, or photographers for their wedding. I understand if it is a friend, otherwise we have plenty of talent on this side of the mountains!

So in the end, I want you to know that Western Slope weddings are a great choice from many perspectives. Please contact me if I can be of service in any way, and check my website for services local to the North Fork Valley.

Blessings on your plans, your ceremony, your party, and most of all on your marriage.
