We have so many beautiful spots for Western Slope Wedding venues!
Decide what kind of setting would suit the kind of wedding you want to have: mountains, wooded, winery, back yard feel, open landscape, cozy feeling, easy to get to, remote? How many people do you want to join you? Do you want to be in a place where the general public is likely to be around, or do you want more privacy?
Then get on the internet and look for Western Slope wedding venues.
Ouray is a great place for mountain weddings and offers jeeps to take you and your guests there. If you want to be indoors for your ceremony the Beaumont Hotel is a fully restored gorgeous place! Nearby Ridgway State Park Visitor Center Overlook is popular (though hot with no rain alternative). There are other places to be found easily, and some airbnbs are appropriate for small weddings. More remote Crested Butte has amazing wedding spots, the Mountain Wedding Garden being my favorite.. Maroon Bells near Aspen is beautiful but usually pretty crowded. Palisade is full of wineries that offer weddings; just be careful because some are right on the freeway. Paonia (my home town) has sweet venues as well.
Outdoor weddings are more popular these days whether you want a simple wedding 
ceremony, a religious wedding, a more ceremonial wedding, or something rather extravagant. I have even driven through the mountains with the bride and groom looking for a spot to stop and perform the ceremony! The Western Slope, from Durango to Grand Junction is full of beautiful spots that cost nothing if you have time to come and look around!
As I was perusing my website I realize it looks like I mostly do extravagant weddings! I certainly have done many, but I have done just as many simple weddings, sometimes just with the bride, groom and myself, and possibly a photographer.
Remember that wedding ceremonies do not have to be solemn, though they are serious. We often find ourselves laughing and allowing each moment to unfold without wanting it to be any different.
I always encourage the bride and groom to let go of expectations and simply be present!
